Federal Court - Hochdorf initiative is valid and will go before the people

The Federal Supreme Court upheld a corresponding appeal and ruled that the initiative launched in the municipality of Hochdorf, which calls for the conversion of all heating systems in residential areas to the use of renewable energies by 2030, is valid. According to the Federal Supreme Court, the initiative is compatible with the guarantee of property, especially since, if the initiative is accepted, it would be possible for the competent authorities to make arrangements for bearing the costs in the remaining time.
